Ist time pass- Automatic

Hi, my name is Ekaansh, I am 17 and I passed first time with Bruce today. I can’t thank him enough for the work and time he has given me this past month, it has made a world of difference in my driving. I came to Bruce a month out from my driving test as my previous instructor literally dumped me, and wouldn’t respond back to me. I was really upset and thought, I’ll have to push my test forward. However, Bruce helped me and reassured me at the time I needed his support the most. In such a short time frame, Bruce put his effort in helping me to be prepared for the test. He fixed many minor faults in my driving in only 2-3 lessons and was extremely professional the way he went about things. I will highly recommend him to other learners as he gives you confidence, reassures you and makes you as prepared as possible for the test. Thank you Bruce!

Hey I'm Claire 35 and I passed my test first time with Bruce. When I started my lesson my confidence had been shattered from a previous instructor and Bruce knew how to help me build my confidence right back up. He isn't just a great instructor, he was my councillor, advice guru, a role model and my supporter. Future learners will have the best time learning from Bruce. And I will truly miss my lessons with him.

So today I passed my test. Im soo overwhelmed. I was with a previous instructor that didnt seem to bother as much then changed to Bruce. Heard lots of positive feedback and started with him. I cannot thank him enough. Bruce was there to help me through everything and gave me his 100% at all times. I would highly highly recommend for lessons. I wouldn't of been able to pass my test without his help. He's very patient and I felt at ease driving with him. Thank you again for all the help in getting me to where I am today.

Bruce is a fantastic driving instructor! His calm, patient and encouraging approach made learning to drive truly enjoyable. He went above and beyond to teach me how to be a safe, confident driver, not just how to pass the test. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor.

Bruce is a friendly and polite instructor, you taught me everything I need to know. The service you gave me was excellent and the whole lessons was excellent from start to finish. You have taught a person that has a learning disability that didn't think I could do it but I did it. I would recommend anyone to choose Bruce as their instructor as you will pass like I did today.

I was very nervous about driving again, so I went with automatic this time to ease the pressure. Bruce was so calm and patient - he’s got nerves of steel! - and helped me build the confidence to get ready for the test and finally pass!!! He’s amazing at explaining things in a way that works best for you. I’d give him 10/10 and will be recommending him to anyone who asks me who I learned with.

After putting lessons off for years I finally decided to go for it and I couldn't have picked a better instructor, Bruce always made sure I was pushing myself to the best of my ability, even when I made mistakes he talked me through them and made sure I knew what I had done and how to prevent it from happing again. I was extremely lucky to have an instructor with the amount of patience that he has. I will forever be thankful for the lessons we had and would highly recommend Bruce as a teacher for anyone on the fence about doing lessons. Thank you again Bruce.

Happy to say I passed my test today thanks to some great lessons with Bruce. I had driven in the US for several years but didn't have any experience in the UK. I wanted to make sure I was able to drive in the UK safely and also give myself the best opportunity to pass the test first time. Bruce was very helpful, professional and encouraging. The lessons gave me the confidence and knowledge I needed to be safe driver here in the UK. I would highly recommend anyone considering the journey of learning to drive get in touch with Bruce!

Bruce is an excellent driving instructor, very kind and friendly. When I began driving lessons, I knew I was going to be a nervous driver however Bruce never failed to make my lessons as calm and effective as possible. He was very patient and supportive through my driving experience and was very good at ensuring I was a confident driver. He is very good at explaining and breaking down the different manoeuvres ensuring they were as easy as possible. Now I feel like I can drive confidently on my own and that I am the safest driver I can be. I could not have passed without him as an instructor and could not recommend him enough. Thank you for everything!

Bruce is a fantastic driving instructor. He gives enough of a push to help you realise your own confidence however does not over do it as he checks in to ask if you need a break or time to pull over and go over a concept. Furthermore if I ever felt that I was not understanding something, he would discuss it in different ways to ensure I grasped the concept. Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Bruce and I am forever grateful for his help and support to get me to where I am today.

Bruce was an absolutely fantastic instructor who taught my wife and myself at the same time, even doing joint lessons so we could learn from one another. His teaching style is dynamic and adapts to each of his students depending on how they learn. He's very friendly and patient, ensuring you understand every concept when driving while also learning from your mistakes. I went into my test feeling super confident and well prepared, and passed first time. I would highly recommend Bruce or the LDC to anyone wanting to learn driving.

Bruce is extremely patient and explains how to avoid mistakes by encouraging to look at the bigger picture. He creates a good relationship with everyone and uses humour to calm nerves which was extremely helpful before my tests. I could not recommend him enough to anyone

Bruce was an excellent help throughout my learning experience. At the beginning, I was unsure whether to choose manual or automatic. Bruce allowed me to try manual and assured me that there would be no issue with switching to automatic if manual wasn't for me. I was an extremely nervous learner, but with each lesson, Bruce helped me become more confident in my abilities. He was always patient and understanding, providing clear instructions and support. Bruce taught me not only how to pass my test but also how to be a good and safe driver. Getting my license has given me a lot of freedom, and I highly encourage anyone looking to learn to go with Bruce. His dedication to my success was evident in every lesson, i couldn't have had a better instructor.

Bruce is an excellent driving instructor. He is incredibly patient and was able to cater my driving lessons to my individual needs. I used to work in an environment where I was reading about road traffic accidents daily, so I started off quite paranoid and fearful of potential accidents. He started my lessons by slowly getting me used to other drivers and large vehicles, and helped build my confidence from there. He knew when I was struggling and when he needed to give me a gentle push during lessons. If I was ever unsure about something, I could always ask and he would take time to explain how to deal with large roundabouts or difficult junctions, to make sure that I understood. I would definitely recommend learning to drive with Bruce!

I would highly recommend Bruce at LDC. I’m 35 and didn’t ever imagine myself as a driver, never felt comfortable driving and previous driving lessons with other instructors never went well. Bruce was the ideal driving instructor for me. A great balance of professionalism, support and knowing when to push me out of my comfort zone. Easy to talk to and communicate any concerns or questions I had. Over the moon to say I’m now a fully licenced driver something I never imagine achieving at this age.

Hi my name is Daniel I suffer from a condition known as autism. I always wanted to learn to drive but I thought I couldn't because of my disability then I decided to give it a shot, I tried many driving schools and they wouldn't teach me, then I found bruce and I called him and I told him about my disability and he was more than happy to talk to me about my needs and and he was happy to do anything that would make me more comfortable. I can't recommend him enough he was very patient and calm and if you didn't understand anything he would explain it greatly and his great sense of humour made every lesson very enjoyable. You are very lucky if you are able to get him, I wouldn't of passed without him he is a great driving instructor and I passed first time.

I have recently passed my test with Bruce and I could not recommend him enough. Hands down one of the best instructors out there. He has been extremely patient with me and I definitely couldn't have done it without him. Bruce is a true road savant and an excellent teacher and if you're able to get him as your instructor, believe me you are extremely lucky.

Brilliant teaching skills - Automatic

I just passed my practical driving test at the very first attempt thanks to the great lessons I had with Bruce from the LDC. I chose him because his name came on top of the list of the DVLA approved instructors and he did not disappoint. He has brilliant teaching skills and a nice sense of humour which made me feel comfortable while driving (which is a lot to say given that I am a nervous person). LDC provides a learner's platform that is very useful to pass the theory test and when I took the driving test there were no surprises as Bruce had properly trained me for every item and it all went smooth. I couldn't be happier with my instructor choice and I am very grateful.

Bruce was a great instructor to learn from. He knows his stuff and is able to break things down to be easily understood. I was apprehensive about driving but he put me at ease. He was very quick to identify not only the mistake but why you were making it in the first place.

Bruce offers an efficient and well priced service for anyone learning to drive. He is very knowledgable and always considers the type of person he is working with when going into lessons and adapts his teaching style to suit the needs of his learners. He is always pleasant and patient to work with and never fails to lift your mood if you’ve had a bad day. Well worth the price and more.

Pass in an automatic

The clause "Pass with Bruce" is an understatement of what Bruce does in his driving instructions/lessons to potential drivers. Bruce is long suffering with his line of work and he technically knows and understands his profession. During driving lessons, Bruce will continuously engage me to ensure that I am focused on the driving activity. He will consistently speak positive words to me which motivates me to focus on the driving lessons. He never makes you feel sad for any silly mistake you commit; instead, he will simply transform your weaknesses or errors into potential areas of strength. I passed on my second attempt but I must admit that I failed the first attempt with just one silly mistake - a right turn. Bruce had always cautioned me about that error but I was swayed off by a needless distraction that caused me to fail. Even with this, Bruce fully encouraged me and told me that I am an excellent driver . . . perhaps, it was not God's time for me to pass at the first attempt so that I can learn some extra lessons of humility and absolute concentration when driving. Currently, whenever I am behind the steering wheels, I keep hearing Bruce's voices in my head, e.g. plan ahead . . . is it safe to go . . . be mindful of pedestrians . . . your life is far more important so drive safely and you'll save other road users . . . you're a very excellent driver . . . good job . . . watch around . . . be mindful of the speed limit . . . make good use of your mirrors . . . if you are not sure, don't go . . . etc. It is a blessing to have met Bruce and I never knew I was not a good driver (although I've driven for more than 10yrs prior to coming to the UK and I passed my theory test with such excellent scores) until I began the driving lessons with Bruce. If Bruce says you're ready to go for the test, he means it. If Bruce tells you that his calendar is full and you need to wait for 7months for a slot, please wait patiently for him (I waited for 9months to start the driving lessons with Bruce). Your wait will be worth a life-long experience insofar as driving in the UK (and in the rest of the world) is concerned.

Bruce was a brilliant instructor, with loads of helpful information, great advice, and a good chuckle to help keep me calm. My driving journey has been interesting, to say the least, when I started, I was incredibly nervous about driving and after going out with my parents a few times I knew I wasn’t going to be a natural, seeing all my friends pass and driving I felt a lot of pressure and wasn’t sure if I was capable. However, after just a few lessons with Bruce, I could already see massive improvements in my driving ability. After every lesson with Bruce, I felt more and more confident behind the wheel. Now being a qualified driver, my life has changed massively I have so much more freedom and independence that I would not otherwise have. If you’re looking for an instructor to help you start your driving journey, I could not recommend Bruce highly enough. Thank you, Bruce.

I usually don't go out of my way to write reviews, but in this case, I would be doing Bruce an injustice. He is a fabulous instructor! His style of teaching prepares you for your test as well as the real world. A student is a reflection of his teacher. I must have the perfect teacher as I've just passed my practical today with 0 minors, a perfect score. He helped solidify my driving to testing standards while always keeping a great attitude and explaining everything very thoroughly! I would be the first to say, "I am not a naturally gifted driver". I can guarantee you that I made several major mistakes during my lessons. However, overtime, with my instructor's guidance, I improved and rectified my mistakes. He makes sure that drivers progress at the correct pace, and builds up confidence on each lesson. His calm approach really helped me when I was nervous and lacking in confidence. I can thoroughly recommend Bruce to anyone looking for a professional, calm and positive instructor.

Passing my test was something that I thought would never happen. I originally booked my first lesson with the intention of just trying driving out not really believing that I’d ever get my drivers license, but after a long and bumpy road I finally passed my driving test and could not have done it without Bruce! Not only did Bruce teach me how to drive, but he also gave me confidence which I have always struggled with and helped me believe in myself! If anyone is looking for a patient, loyal, punctual, knowledgeable instructor then I’d highly recommend Bruce, can not thank him enough!

I honestly couldn’t thank Bruce enough for teaching me to drive and being such a fantastic instructor. We both agreed that my driving journey has been a bumpy ride, mostly due to my lack of confidence in my own ability. If I didn’t have Bruce to help me build up my confidence and make me feel at ease, then I would’ve really struggled to pass on the first test. If you are looking for an instructor who is highly knowledgeable, will make you feel valued as a pupil, has a warm personality, and likes his occasional dad joke (haha) - I would highly recommend Bruce. Thanks again Bruce for all the help and advice!! 🙂

My driving journey has been quite a long one due to covid and the restrictions and also due to my lack of confidence. However, today I passed my test on my second attempt. I honestly could not thank Bruce enough for helping me pass my test first time with only 2 minor faults. He made every lesson different to ensure I was learning along with becoming more confident as a driver and he also made me enjoy my lessons rather than dread them (maybe his unfunny jokes & humour helped a little too….) Bruce also was always very calm and his knowledge/ experience really showed in each and every lesson. I am so glad I have passed my test and I would without a doubt recommended Bruce to anyone wanting to learn to drive!!! Thank you again Bruce!!

Bruce has been the voice of reason throughout my learning to drive. Being someone with zero knowledge about cars as well as a non-native speaker, I could not imagine that I could have passed the test without his individualised teaching methods, his patience, and countless support he always kindly offered to make my life easier. I like his value of working in a partnership in a way that I was never spoon-fed but had full opportunities to discuss, ask, and trial. Instead of aiming only at passing the test, learning with Bruce has given me the confidence to drive on roads I have never been and under varying conditions. I am truly grateful for being one of his pupils and I strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable instructor!

Today is some day for me, i've finally passed my driving test! At the first time of asking too, It was some feeling after all that hard work and covid delays to finally get it over the line! I have nothing but admiration for my instructor and his work ethic in getting you out there to drive not just to pass your test! I've come to driving later in my life at a young 42 so having someone like Bruce McNeill there giving his experience in his teaching as well as his knowledge of driving and of course knowing your limitations and working with you to overcome these to become a new Driver, I will for anyone who is looking to go for their licence have no delay or doubt in my mind in recommending Bruce to anyone. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Bruce for his time and patience with me and with Covid disruptions to give me the opportunity to get my licence today.

I would highly recommend Bruce as your driving instructor because not only is he an excellent instructor he is also an excellent human being. He made me confident about my driving and gave me the skill to pass my test and more. Always patient and makes you aware of everything you need to be doing but always approachable with any worries you may have on what actions needed to be taken to become a better driver. His humour and jokes will be missed as I go it alone but couldn't be more thankful for what he has taught me through the stop start lessons we had during this pandemic. He always showed belief in me even after months between being allowed to drive. Thank you again I'm truly grateful.

Having tried driving in the past I had given up hope until my work encouraged me to try again. We searched locally and found Bruce who had great reviews. I was tentative at first but found it far more enjoyable than i used to. It was great to learn with Bruce. I would highly reccommend Bruce to anyone looking for automatic lessons around Renfrew. A great instructor with lots of patience. He really made the whole process from start to pass motivating, safe and most importantly easy and simple. Bruce doesn't waste time, rather he allows you to fully experience the different challenges you will face in your day to day journeys behind the wheel, allowing you to question how you would deal with and overcome that situation if he wasn't there. I'm heavily pregnant but he helped me pass my test 5 days before my due date. Thank you so much Bruce!

It had taken me quite a while to pluck up the courage to give driving a second go after a very cold lesson I had previously with an instructor who had made me uneasy behind the wheel. I decided to take up lessons again after having not much interest years ago with another instructor. I recently found out I was pregnant and it was the motivation I needed. Bruce is a very friendly instructor who inspires confidence. He is also incredibly supportive and very dedicated to teaching you to be above test standard. This is extremely helpful as you are more than ready when the time comes (I was overjoyed to come away having received only one minor on test day). I also have a job with different shifts and he always made sure he tried to fit me in and was flexible.
